After-School Coding Instructor (Elementary to Middle School)
Part-Time | Contract | $30–$37/hour
Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and dependable Coding Instructor to lead after-school coding sessions for elementary and middle school students. This part-time position requires teaching 1–2 hours per week and focuses on introducing students to foundational programming concepts through interactive lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate coding lessons.
- Support students as they explore coding projects and build digital skills.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with the program coordinator regarding class updates and needs.
- Prepare and submit lesson plans in advance.
- Supervise the proper use of materials and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching coding or computer science to children.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Enthusiasm for technology and working with youth.
- Consistent, punctual, and committed to the program schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, or related field is a plus, but not required.
