Main Substitute Cooking Instructor - After-School Enrichment Program
Rate:
- $30-37 per hour
We are looking for a Main Substitute Cooking Instructor to step in as needed for our after-school cooking classes. This role requires flexibility and readiness to lead engaging, hands-on lessons when the primary instructor is unavailable. The program focuses on introducing students to fundamental cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and food preparation in a fun and interactive setting.
Responsibilities:
- Step in as the lead instructor when the primary cooking teacher is unavailable.
- Deliver engaging cooking lessons based on the provided curriculum.
- Supervise and assist students with hands-on cooking activities.
- Ensure students follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Set up and clean up class materials efficiently.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching or working with children in a structured setting.
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to manage and engage a classroom effectively.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to last-minute schedule changes.
- (Preferred) Experience in after-school programs or culinary instruction.
