LEGO Robotics Instructor - Elementary Students [After School Enrichment]

• $50/ Instructional Time 1 hour Lesson Planning

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated LEGO Robotics Instructor for our after-school program. The ideal candidate will inspire and guide elementary students through engaging and educational LEGO Robotics activities. This part-time position requires a commitment of 1 day per week, 1 hour per class, making it an excellent opportunity for those with a flexible schedule or seeking supplementary work. Experience with LEGO Robotics, LEGO League, LEGO Mindstorms, EV3 programming tool, or LEGO NXT Robotics is highly beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging LEGO Robotics lessons that are suitable for elementary students.
• Facilitate hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
• Provide guidance and support to students as they build and program their robots.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ensure the safety and proper use of all LEGO Robotics equipment and materials.
• Prepare for each session by organizing materials and setting up the classroom.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with LEGO Robotics, LEGO League, LEGO Mindstorms, EV3 programming tool, or LEGO NXT Robotics is a plus but not mandatory.
• Previous teaching or instructional experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for STEM education and working with children.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full duration of the program.

Schedule:

• 1 day per week, 1 hour per class
