Ukulele Instructor for Elementary Students (After-School Enrichment Program)
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Ukulele Instructor to join our team and inspire young musicians! This is an exciting opportunity to teach elementary students the basics of ukulele playing while fostering a love for music. The program is designed to encourage creativity and confidence, with the possibility of culminating in a recital or group performance to showcase the students’ progress.
Responsibilities:
- Teach fundamental ukulele skills, including chords, strumming, and simple songs, in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.
- Foster a supportive and fun learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Develop a plan to guide students toward a group performance or recital by the end of the program.
- Collaborate with the program team to ensure a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for students.
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching music to elementary-aged children, with a focus on ukulele or string instruments.(Preferred)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive learning experience.
Schedule - Once a week, 1-2 hour per session.
