What are the responsibilities and job description for the ODJFS Site Administrator position at Afterschool Programs of Lancaster?
Seeking a Grant Site Director for our Before and After School 21st Century Grant Sites. Shift hours will be 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM in accordance with Lancaster City School’s Schedule. Experience with 21st Century Grant or Degree in Education preferred. Starting salary $36,800 (depending on experience and education).
As a Child Care Grant Site Director, you will oversee the educational administration of child care programs, ensuring a high standard of quality and compliance with regulations. You will be implementing curriculum to support student learning and development.
Requirements:
1. A CDA or an Associate Degree or higher in child development, early childhood education, or related field approved by ODJFS, from an accredited institution or 2 years work experience in a licensed child care program.
2. A CPL level 3 in Ohio’s Professional Registry, School Age Endorsement 3, or ability to obtain.
3. Successful completion of required background checks and a valid Ohio Drivers’ License.
4. Excellent verbal and written skills, experience working with and supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff and students.
5. Knowledge of applicable ODJFS and Step Up To Quality rules, regulations and licensing standards for Child Care Centers.
6. Ability to work well with school personnel, staff, parents, and community members.
7. Ability to operate a computer, Microsoft Office & Excel, Internet, and other technology.
8. Ability to manage financial resources, quarterly reports, licensing, 21st Centuy Grant, and government requirements.
9. Alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable by ODJFS licensing agencies and the APL Board.
