Role Overview

As Vice President of Marketing at AfterShip, you will be a key leadership figure driving AfterShip’s growth and global impact. You will crafting transformative marketing strategies for a globally recognized B2B SaaS company that partners with industry-leading brands like eBay, Gymshark, and Etsy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will helm a dynamic marketing team spanning North America and APAC, driving demand generation, brand evolution, and customer engagement. Your leadership will be pivotal in executing a brand transformation that aligns AfterShip’s comprehensive product suite with the rapidly evolving needs of global eCommerce businesses.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute AfterShip’s marketing vision to establish and sustain market leadership, with a focus on North America and global scalability.
  • Lead efforts to refine AfterShip’s positioning in the competitive SaaS landscape, setting AfterShip’s product suite as the go-to all-in-one solution for global brands and retailers.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set priorities and translate them into actionable marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to measure the success of marketing efforts, using analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class marketing team that thrives on collaboration and innovation.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align marketing strategies with the entire customer lifecycle.
  • Cultivate a culture of experimentation and learning, empowering the team to leverage data for impactful decision-making.

Product and Customer Marketing

  • Develop clear and compelling messaging that highlights the unique value of AfterShip’s suite of solutions for global brands and retailers.
  • Lead competitive analysis and customer segmentation to identify opportunities and refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Work closely with Product teams to align features and offerings with market demands and customer needs.

Demand Generation and Brand Positioning

  • Spearhead efforts to refresh AfterShip’s brand positioning to boost global identity and relevance.
  • Design and execute high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Maximize ROI by optimizing marketing spend and leveraging data to refine strategies.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of marketing experience (5 years in leadership roles) in high-growth, multi-product SaaS companies, with proven success in global markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable improvements in brand perception and market positioning.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data sets and using insights to inform strategy. Proficient in tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Proven track record of optimizing lead funnels and driving demand with measurable outcomes.
  • History of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
  • Deep understanding of the customer journey and experience, with a focus on creating long-term relationships and delivering value.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in eCommerce, logistics, or customer experience industries.
  • Strong network within the SaaS marketing community, including relationships with influencers, media, and analysts.
  • Knowledge of global markets and the ability to adapt strategies for regional nuances.
