AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 7 offices across the US and one office in India. We are searching for a BIM Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, the candidate will prepare structural design documentation for small to large building structures of aviation, commercial, educational, institutional, mission critical, high-tech manufacturing or healthcare projects. The position will have direct interaction with our engineering team and has great potential for position advancement and career development.

- Operate AutoCAD Revit and Revit 360 with a working knowledge of Revit family manipulation
- Reviews structural models and documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and performs clash detection
- Read and duplicate existing construction documents
- Coordinates and assists with any addendum, request for information, change proposal requests and change orders
- Responsible for coordinating modeling and documenting workload to complete the deliverable items on schedule
- Downloading, uploading, and transmitting files
- Assists in plan modeling, detailing, redlining, and printing
- Assists in developing and maintaining Revit families, detail libraries and other graphic tools, as needed
- Assists in training BIM Technician and Engineering staff in Revit
- Understands project timeline and budgets within each project
- Responsible for producing accurate construction documents
- Ability to read and work from architectural and other construction-related plans to produce structural construction documents
- Accurately report on progress of assigned projects
- Continuously review work and process to improve efficiency
- Act as a technical resource to peers
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Supervisory
- Coordinates BIM tasks for other BIM staff and peers
- Review BIM work by others, as assigned
- Business Development
- Attends networking functions, open house, and industry events
- Assists in preparing marketing presentations and other marketing and business development graphics, as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree or technical school credential with emphasis on architecture or structures, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Four (4) to Seven (7) years of professional experience
- Internal candidates with a minimum of three (3) years of experience will be considered for this position if recommended by leadership

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.

- Travel to the Companies various offices, as needed
- Travel to construction sites is not normally a requirement of this position, but may be requested from time to time, generally local by car travel only
Work Hours and Schedule
This is a regular full-time position with a traditional work schedule. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00. Employees are expected to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks on a timely basis.
