AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 7 offices across the US and one office in India. We are searching for a Precast Project Engineer to join our team in our Denver office.
Position Summary
Candidate must possess experience in the design of, coordination of and documentation of precast,
prestressed concrete buildings for commercial, institutional, mission critical, educational, aviation, or
healthcare projects. Candidate must be experienced in the design of total precast systems (double tees,
inverted tee beams, spandrel beams, shear walls, columns, and their connections) and in the design in
Insulated Wall Panels. The position requires personal time management capabilities and, as required, the
management of other design team members. Candidate will work with Graduate Engineer, Design Engineers,
Project Engineers, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Associate Principals and Principals in the
delivery of projects including delivering required project documentation and calculations. The position will
have direct interaction with clients and has great potential for position advancement and continuing career
development.

Educational, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
BS in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis), required
MS in Architectural or Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis), preferred
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in precast, prestressed design
Must have been conferred a PE license in state of residence (structural designation) or able to secure PE
license within two (2) years of joining
Must have successful completion of the NCEES Structural Engineering exam (16 hours) and have been
conferred an SE license in state jurisdiction of choice, preferred
Autodesk Revit and BIM 360 and/or Tekla BIM experience
Strong working knowledge of applicable building and reference codes
Possess working knowledge of Microsoft O4ice Suite of programs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following
Project-based Responsibilities
Manage team of engineers, BIM modelers, and project coordinators, as required
Serve as technical resource and conduit for team
Develop project schedule
Develop and manage project task list
Follow established processes for design and documentation, quality assurance and quality control and
filing of documents
Attend weekly meetings including and serve as project liaison with stakeholders, as required
Attend design team meetings;
Attend internal meetings with precast team;
Attend integrated team meetings;
Attend project meetings with outside consultants; and
Attend BIM coordination meetings.
Manage project coordination with design team, precast manufacturer, EOR team, steel detailing team,
and/or GC
Design of various precast components and connections including handling and erection
Review of calculations performed by other engineers
Review of erection plans, details and shop tickets
Sign and seal drawings, as required
Manage Construction Administration including:
attend OAC/RFI Meetings
responses to RFI’s
perform submittal reviews
develop plant and field repairs
make plant and site visits, as needed
Operational Responsibilities
Assist in managing project finances including:
updating project information in Ajera (document control)
oversee budget and profitability
invoice management
identify supplemental services and initiate process
assist in collections, as needed
Assist in proposal development, as needed
Assist in developing training programs, as needed
Assist in developing and updating in-house written programs in Mathcad or Tedds, as needed
Participate on PCI Committees, as requested
