GRADUATE ENGINEER
POSITION SUMMARY
Candidate must possess experience in the design and documentation of complex medium to large building structures for commercial, institutional, mission critical, educational, aviation, or healthcare projects. The position will have direct interaction with clients and has great potential for position advancement and continuing career development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Technical
POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Technical
- Performs structural analysis and design as needed for all phases of a project
- Learns to edit Master Specifications
- Learns to edit Master General Notes
- Learns to edit and understand Typical Details
- Assists in coordinates structural design with architectural and engineering disciplines
- Assists in delivering documented project and calculations on schedule and within budget
- Assists in providing construction contract administration services including making field observations
- Assists in writing reports of site observations
- Assists in writing reports of diagnostic investigations and other studies
- Work under supervision of senior engineers
- Assists in developing AG&E Talk presentations and presentations at industry conferences in area of expertise
Managerial
- Assists with creating project work plan including tasks with budgeted time and manages team workload
- May manage other staff on select tasks
Client Liaison
- May attend client meetings with Senior Engineers
- Assists in documenting meeting discussions
Business Development
- Engages counterparts with client’s operations and grows professional relationships
- Attends networking, open house, and industry events
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Educational Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) or BS Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis), required
- MS in Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis), preferred
- Successfully passed Engineer-in-Training exam

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Coordinates tasks for support staff
- Reviews work of other engineers and projects, as assigned
- Supervises multiple project teams, as assigned
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, exempt position, 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00. Employee is expected to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks on timely basis.
TRAVEL
- May require travel is required project job sites and to the Companies various offices, as needed.
- This position may require occasional early morning or evening event attendance outside of the 8-5 work hours.
- This position may require occasional air and over-the-road travel.
- Construction site visits are common and require OSHA compliance.
