Our client, a healthcare startup, is looking for a Director of Technology to join their team! The Director of Technology will responsible for shaping and executing a technology strategy that aligns with business goals and supports the organization’s growth plans. This individual plays a crucial role in driving technological innovation, shaping the digital roadmap and ensuring the successful implementation of technology initiatives within the organization. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining efficient and reliable technology operations, including systems infrastructure, network, data management and security protocols for high performance, uptime and data integrity.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record leading technology teams, driving innovation, managing projects, maintaining the tech infrastructure and will have demonstrated experience managing EMR and RCM solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of technical architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security standards and industry’s best practices.
- Provide leadership and vision to the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in a rapidly evolving organization.
- Align technology initiatives with organizational goals, including improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting business growth.
- Develops and manages the technology budget, optimizing investments and resources to ensure cost-effective solutions and vendor services are utilized.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions tailored to our growth objectives.
- Oversee all system designs and changes in system architecture.
- Responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and resiliency of the organization’s information systems, data and devices, producing measurable results via Technology KPIs.
- Maintain and manage technology assets, including software licenses, hardware, networks, SaaS subscriptions and technology managed service providers.
- Drive the development of new products and features that address the needs of clients, providers, and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team, encouraging experimentation and creative problem-solving to drive growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology solutions that can enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes across varying verticals.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team and supporting vendors.
- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the technology team and provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Manage technology budgets and resources effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization to support our growth needs.
Qualifications:
- 7 years experience in technology roles with expanding scope of responsibilities, preferably in the behavioral health industry but any healthcare vertical is fine.
- Leadership experience required.
- Experience in growth-stage companies operating multiple clinics delivering both in-person and virtual care.
- Experience managing EMR and RCM solutions is required.
- Experience managing IT Vendors, including offshore vendors, MSPs, Network Operations, Security Operations, Telecom, SaaS
- Experience managing and administrating: SaaS solutions, EMR (Kipu), CRM (MS CRM), RCM (Collaborate MD), HCM (UKG)
- IT Infrastructure / Telecom:
- Azure Cloud / Azure SQL
- MS 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, etc…)
- Telecom (Nextiva, local ISPs)
- Databases, data warehouses and business intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
- End-user devices (desktops, laptops, tablets) and network devices (WAPs, routers, etc…)
- Must be hands on in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues – networks, devices, cybersecurity tech
- Demonstrated project management experience
Salary : $130,000 - $145,000
