Our client, a premier fitness and recreational facility, is looking for a General Manager to join their team! The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, strategic growth, and overall success of the club. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for fitness and wellness, a strong background in club management, and a proven ability to drive membership growth, financial performance, and an outstanding member experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the club, ensuring a high standard of service and facility maintenance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across all departments, including fitness, tennis, aquatics, front desk, and maintenance.
- Implement and enforce club policies, procedures, and safety standards to create a welcoming and professional environment.
- Develop and manage budgets, revenue targets, and expense controls to optimize profitability.
- Drive membership sales, retention, and engagement strategies to grow the club’s community and maximize revenue.
- Identify new revenue streams, including corporate partnerships, special events, and fitness programs.
- Ensure an exceptional member experience by fostering a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused culture.
- Address member feedback and concerns proactively, implementing solutions to improve satisfaction and engagement.
- Develop and promote club programs, events, and activities to enhance member participation.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create and execute campaigns that attract new members and retain existing ones.
- Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to increase community involvement and partnerships.
- Oversee facility maintenance and improvements, ensuring the club remains clean, safe, and up to standard.
- Work with department heads to ensure high-quality programming in tennis, fitness, and aquatics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to enhance the club’s offerings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of leadership experience in the fitness, sports, or hospitality industry, with a track record of success.
- Strong understanding of membership sales, customer service, and financial management in a club setting.
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Experience with club management software and CRM tools (e.g., Mindbody, Club Automation, Jonas, or similar).
- Passion for health, wellness, and community engagement.
Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
