Job Title: Echocardiographer
Location: Hamilton, NY
Contract Duration: 8 weeks contract with a possibility of extension
Pay Rate: Up To $69.75/hr
Work Schedule: 40hrs/week (Monday to Friday)
Shift: 8hrs - Day Shift
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous travel experience required
- Registered in Adult Echo RDCS or CCI
- Active BLS certificate from American Heart Association
- Associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography
- Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
- Current NY state licensure
- Covid Vaccine and Booster Shot
- Flu Shot Documentation
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Cardiovascular Technologist provides timely and accurate non-invasive cardiac ultrasound testing and transesophageal echo studies as required by KWMC Cardiology Department approved protocols and procedures
- Must be able to communicate with medical/technical personnel and patients
- Prioritizes ordered testing and request for new services, based upon clinical assessment ensuring a timely delivery of testing which is appropriate to the acuity of a patient's condition
- Demonstrates flexibility related to varying demand for services
- Provides high quality patient care considering age specific, developmental and cultural needs through competent practice and application
- Maintains confidentiality in line with current HIPPA standards
- Participate in clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Nursing Units, Cardiovascular Laboratory, Surgery and Outreach
- Know and adhere to the principles of Echocardiography, including technical factors, equipment function, transducer selection, patient care and safety
- Be accountable for patient, self, family, coworkers’ and volunteers’ well-being while performing echocardiography
