TITLE: Service Technician (Level I, II & III)

JOB AUTHORITY: Position has no management responsibilities. Position reports directly to the Service Manager. Must coordinate activities with Trucking, Parts Sales & Whole goods Sales
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Position’s primary responsibilities are maintenance and repair products purchased from the dealership as well as other similar non dealership products
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible for Supplying proper tools to perform the job.
- Responsible for generating revenue by :
- Performing routine scheduled maintenance for customer or business owned equipment either on site or at their location
- Diagnosing problems and performing repairs on customer or business owned equipment either on site or at customer location. Using the tools available (manuals, on-line resources etc.) to assist in resolving problems.
- Maintaining accurate and updated records & hours of service performed.
- Updating the Service Manager of any repeating or chronic service problems.
- Working with the Service Manager/Service Writer on efficient scheduling of work.
- Handling repair orders in an effective, timely manner.
- Meeting or exceeding established service goals.
- Assisting other Tech’s where necessary.
- Responsible for preparing equipment to be offered for sale as follows:
- Performing (PDI’s) Pre Delivery Inspections to be sure equipment is working as designed, fluid levels are correct, tires are inflated properly, requested additional implements are installed, any cosmetic work is complete, etc.
- Assisting Whole Goods Sales in preparing used equipment by identifying and facilitating minor cosmetic work.
- Receiving and setting up new incoming Equipment.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for keeping current on our products, those of our competitors and the industry in general
- Responsible for keeping relevant job skills current
- Responsible for knowing and following all company policies
- Responsible for cleaning and organizing work area.
- Responsible to provide assistance to other sales and service personnel as needed.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by Manager.
