SUMMARY
The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for assisting the warehouse manager with daily operations of the central warehouse including loading, unloading and delivery of products to customers and branches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following and other duties may be assigned.)
Responsible for :
- Maintenance and housekeeping of facilities and equipment as assigned.
- Helping with unloading incoming products for resale that are warehoused and delivery to either customers or other locations in the company. Making a sales ticket is required.
- Operating large trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Assisting with inventory count at the end of each month and at fiscal year-end.
- Adherence to safety policies.
- Providing a high level of customer service.
- Promoting and adhering to the company Core Values of honesty, integrity & teamwork.
- Adhering to cooperative credit policy.
- Securing facilities and equipment when closing.
- Promptly and regularly report to work and work overtime hours as needed.
- Present a clean and professional appearance.
- Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
This position requires a high school diploma or 3-5 years of previous experience with diverse agribusiness firms that include grain feed, fertilizer and farm supply operations. Must have experience in operating ag production and other heavy equipment and be familiar with current farming practices. Willing to seek out and attend additional continuing education, seminars classes or other job-related education requirements or opportunities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and weights.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
Commercial Driver’s License Class A with Haz-Mat and Tanker Endorsements and / or the ability to obtain and maintain.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to deal with problems with several concrete variables in standard situations. Must be able to think quickly and perform a mental assessment of workplace hazards, take appropriate precautions, and choose appropriate PPE as dictated by need, regulation and labeling.

The noise level in this work environment usually loud (although not believed to exceed the eight-hour threshold for working in or around loud equipment).
