About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team at our Ag Center in Garrett, IN. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The major end result of this job position is to maintain a positive and organized work environment that enables our team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in an administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the agriculture industry.
- Familiarity with agronomy terminology and practices.
- Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Performing general office duties, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and filing paperwork.
- Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
- Maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Assisting with special projects as needed.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth office operations.
- Checks invoices for purchase orders.
- Checks receivers when merchandise is received.
- Checks invoices for mistakes relating to purchase orders and receivers.
- Processes invoices for payment on time.
- Balances daily cash drawer and makes deposits.
- Files receivable and payable invoices regularly.
- Receives customer orders and relays those orders for distribution.
- Assist manager in maintaining correct inventory quantities.
- Run various reports as determined by the manager.
- Must greet customers with a friendly personality.
- At the manager's direction, perform similar duties in any of our neighboring facilities.
Skills:
As an Office Assistant, you will utilize your excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of our office. You will use your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to prepare reports and maintain office supplies and equipment. Your ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively will be essential in assisting with special projects and coordinating with other departments. Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p, Saturday/Sunday seasonally as needed (Mandatory OT)
