Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for agricultural and commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop proposals that align with client needs and budgets.
- Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes to compile comprehensive project costs.
- Provide cost analyses for various scenarios to optimize project profitability while ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
- Assist in evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address any questions regarding estimates.
- Support the product sales team by providing estimates and technical insights for product integrations into construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction estimating, preferably in agricultural and commercial projects.
- Education: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in industry standard estimation software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with agricultural facilities, commercial buildings, and supporting product lines is a plus.
