What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at AG-PRO LLC?
Assist the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.
Job Duties:
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
- Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control throughout the jobs until they are closed and invoiced
- Checks in customers and assesses equipment at drop off
- Arranges pickup/delivery/field work for equipment as needed
- Verifies and sells repair estimates created by technicains
- Maintains customer contact thougout the repair process and manages customer expectations
- Finalizes invoices, contacts customers, and collects payment
- Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
- Maintains Service Department filing and records
- Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders
- Processes warranty and/or product improvement claims including the computation of charges, submission and follow-up
- And other duties as assigned
