Service Technician

Job Overview

Agricultural and turf equipment require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. As an Ag-Pro Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system knowledge, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics and report on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and Competitive products.
• Ensure the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment is maintained.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
• Complete reports and forms required for work assignments.
• Account for time and material used in performing assigned duties.

Requirements

• 1 years of experience performing service repairs.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
