Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Accountant or Senior Corporate Accountant who is ready to take on diverse challenges and projects within our organization. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with various departments, including operations, transportation, accounts payable, and plant accounting, providing valuable insights into multiple facets of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and operational reports to management.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Manage specific GL accounts, including lease accounting, property tax, Medical/Dental, and railcar accounting.
- Perform month-end close duties and assist in developing accounting systems and controls.
- Contribute to special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 0-2 years of accounting experience; 3 years required for Senior consideration.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Knowledge of the agricultural production industry is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Oracle general ledger is preferred.
- High integrity and trust, with the ability to make sound business judgments in resolving generally understood and/or more complex accounting issues.
