In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee essential accounting functions for our projects, ensuring precision and compliance while driving operational success. Utilizing tools like Oracle Project Costing and OnBase ECM, you’ll play a key part in managing project finances, assets, and reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
What You’ll DoPartner with plant operations and purchasing teams to review and establish project setups.Coordinate with project managers to manage contracts, change orders, and related documentation.Handle fixed asset disposals and secure necessary management approvals.Monitor project activities, track budgets, and generate custom reports as needed.Manage project invoices and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements (lien waivers, affidavits, etc.).Work with the Corporate Tax and AP teams to apply accurate tax treatments based on state laws.Audit project spend and establish fixed assets for integration into the Oracle Assets module.Provide guidance on capitalization policies and assist plant personnel with project-related accounting queries.Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses.What We’re Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; familiarity with GAAP.SkillsExceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Industry KnowledgeExperience in the agricultural production industry is a plus.AttributesAbility to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.What You’ll GainAt AGP, we believe our employees are our greatest asset.
