What are the responsibilities and job description for the AG Field Technician position at AG RX?
Summary*-The position involves the ability to demonstrate knowledge of reading maps and mailing out samples. The position also involves working in an organized manner, growth, good record keeping skills, good people skills and good customer relationship skills, to enhance AGRX position in its marketing areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with safety in mind, and operating all equipment properly.
- Responsible for wearing appropriate safety gear for the in accordance with Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Responsible for the proper use, maintenance and care of all safety equipment.
- Creating and organizing field maps.
- Support PCA in field data collection.
- Mailing out samples
- Soil, Water and tissue sampling
- Data collection for projections on cost analysis.
- Assessing and adjusting water treatment program.
- Maintain and service assigned equipment including communicating equipment failures and needs to shop supervisor.
- Work with all departments to help maintain cleanliness and order of the yard facility.
- Inspect equipment daily and complete daily inspection logs properly and accurately.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Experience – Entry level. Three to six month’s related experience and/or training in agricultural industry
preferred.
Education – High school diploma or general education development (GED) degree
Certifications – None
Licenses- Must have a valid, non-restricted California driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Language Skills – Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and/or written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratios, rates, and percent.
Computer Skills – Microsoft Word, Excel
