You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials already in receipt, services and parts to the correct conformance and quality from vendor suppliers through goods receipt, the handling into stores and the issuing out to production operations and the transportation of smaller items of materials, and ultimately through to the shipping of the product through despatch process Meet the team: In support of Warehouse Operations, our team members support everything from receiving to packing and shipping of materials. Your working environment: Located just five miles from Washington Dulles International Airport, and 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24/7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. Your challenges: Accurately input all material information into applicable ERP systems that are related to receiving, inspection, put away, inventory accuracy, picking, shipping, cycle count and scrapping (SAP). Receive, pick, pack and process orders in the accurate priority sequence according to established performance targets; packing parts for safe shipment according to the shipping instructions and applicable standard specifications (ATA300). Label, weigh, and acquire dimensions for freight/shipments. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Detail oriented in order to detect parts accuracy, accurate counts, and document/certifications requirements. Follow up on non-conformities as it relates to material or processes with quality department. Perform inventory cycle counts on all material under warehouse control/responsibility. Perform inventory investigations on inventory discrepancies using LEAN tools and root cause analysis. Maintain Quality Management System certification, Participate in surveillance audits (EASA, FAA, EN91**, other), and provide root cause analysis of Non-conformities. Participate in special projects that support LEAN initiatives, business improvement workshops. Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of the work environment. Advise Manager of any process, inventory or system issues immediately. Maintain quality standards for warehouse storage and service including communication to internal and external customers. Identify system or process issues and communicate those to IT and Warehouse Management. Follow all operational standard process (SOP/Standard work instructions). Other duties as assigned. A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience required Familiarity with OSHA requirements and ability to work safely Forklift certification or ability to acquire Ability to communicate in English, both in writing and verbally Carrying: Able to carry up to 50lbs Hearing: Able to hear to participate in phone and in-person conversations also able to hear sirens, alarms and other emergency signals. Lifting: Able to lift up to 50lbs - 125 lbs 2-person lift Pushing / Pulling: Able to push/pull items over short distances and on occasion. Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings; drafting computer-based documents, sometimes with limited breaks. Speaking: Able to speak and conduct conversations often for extended periods of time in meetings, negotiations and training.
