Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in implementing behavior intervention plans and collecting data to track progress, ensuring that each client receives the highest quality of care.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress in accordance with treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate clients and their families about behavior management strategies and techniques.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication with healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Assist in the development of treatment goals based on client needs and preferences.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and record keeping.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and interventions.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and information security.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
