The Physical Therapist - Occupational Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist plays a critical role in the healthcare system by providing essential therapeutic services to patients of various age groups. This position encompasses the disciplines of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, addressing physical, cognitive, and communicative impairments. The successful candidate will work closely with patients to assess their individual needs, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement effective rehabilitation strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical, occupational, and speech-language needs through assessments and standardized tests.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implement various therapeutic modalities to enhance patient functionality and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, exercises, and home programs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Conduct group therapy sessions when applicable, fostering a supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries.
  • Attend case conferences to discuss patient status and future treatment goals with colleagues.
  • Stay current with advancements in therapy practices and techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote health and wellness.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students.
  • Manage equipment and therapy supplies, ensuring they are maintained and available for patient use.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure or certification in relevant therapy disciplines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to assess and analyze patient needs effectively.
  • Experience in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation standards.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in therapy disciplines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities efficiently.
  • Physical stamina to perform therapy sessions and assist patients as needed.
