About us
Agape Christian Academy (A.C.A.) was founded in 1982 by Senior Pastor Ron Hunter and his wife, Linda. Since its inception, Agape Christian Academy has served as a daily outreach ministry of Spoken Word Outreach Ministries.
Agape Christian Academy offers kindergarten through twelfth-grade classes and utilizes the Biblically-based and academically accelerated Abeka Christian curriculum.
- Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with both academic standards and Christian values.
- Faith Integration: Incorporate biblical teachings and Christian principles into daily lessons and activities.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that fosters learning and spiritual growth.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate students' academic progress through tests, quizzes, and other assessment tools.
- Spiritual Guidance: Provide spiritual support and guidance to students, helping them grow in their faith.
- Parent Communication: Regularly communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational practices and Christian teachings.
- Collaboration: Work with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
- Monday-Friday 7:50 am - 3:00 pm
- Qualifications:
- Educational Background: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Faith Commitment: A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to integrating Christian principles into teaching.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially at the elementary level, is preferred.
- Classroom Management Skills: Effective strategies for maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaboration: Ability to work well with other teachers, staff, and administration to support the school's mission and goals.
- Passion for Teaching: A genuine love for teaching and a desire to inspire and nurture students academically and spiritually.
