What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at Agape For Healing?
Provide compassionate, non-medical care and assistance to clients in their homes, helping with daily living activities, companionship, and light housekeeping while ensuring comfort and safety.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship, social engagement, and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
- Run errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.
- Remind clients to take medications (no medication administration).
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or outings.
- Observe and report changes in client’s condition to family or care coordinator.
- Follow care plan and client preferences.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
