ABOUT THE ROLE
The Clinical Educator (CE) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care through education, training, and support of staff. They will utilize their clinical expertise, teaching skills, and leadership abilities to facilitate the professional development of staff members while promoting excellence in care delivery.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- RN with active RN licensure in state(s) of employment.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in hospice.
- Must have reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- Coverage areas: Fulton, Henry, Woodstock, Cobb, and Carrollton
-Must have hospice experience
-Case Managment or Director Clinical Operations experience
-Homecare Homebase experience
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to apply adult learning principles and techniques.
- Ability to develop clear, concise, and appropriately referenced training materials using APA standards.
- Possess excellent patient assessment skills, including knowledge of the special needs of terminally ill patients and their families in a hospice environment.
- Maintain a high standard of integrity and business ethics.
- Thorough knowledge of managed care principles, hospice care delivery guidelines, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to educate others on Medicare conditions of participation, state-specific rules, and regulations, and Hospice Item Set guidelines.
- Possess in-depth knowledge and proficiency in the utilization of the Company’s EMR systems in both the field (PointCare) and Back Office operations.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that promote a positive coaching environment.
- Possess a professional and resourceful style, can work independently and as a team player, takes initiative, and manages multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and related computer skills.
- Ability to effectively operate assessment tools, computers, facsimile equipment, copiers, and cell phones.
