Agate Security, Inc. is looking for qualified candidates for a Field Supervisor position in the greater Los Angeles area. This position will include covering shifts as needed, driving for post checks throughout the LA and Orange County area, daily communication with management, managing guards, etc.
Must be able to work all of our post locations without restrictions.
Rate is TBD based on experience.
Jobs Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties
- Conduct location post checks daily
- Meet with officers regularly
- Enforce company policies and procedures with professionalism and tact
- Check for appropriate on duty officers' attire
- Provide guidance and support to location officers
- Conduct new officers location training and ongoing workforce training
- Facilitate open communication with location management (MODs)
- Report any areas of concern to upper management
- Attend weekly management meetings
- Responsible for covering call-offs and no shows as needed
- Assisting Account Manager
- Ensure locations are secure
- Address officer issues with formal documentation
- Write incident reports (DARs)
Officer Duties:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
- Patrol facility or stand post as instructed and serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as property or equipment damage, presence of unauthorized. Persons, theft or unusual occurrences
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Report all incidents, accidents or emergencies as required. Act as a first responder to any emergencies or suspicious activities
>> Qualified candidates must also have the following:
- Must have OWN firearm (either 9mm or .40 cal) w/ 3 magazines and gun barrel must be minimum 4" (If hired as an armed guard)
- Duty belt
- Baton [expandable or side handle) w/ baton holder (If required to carry baton)
- Pepper Spray w/ Pouch (If carrying pepper spray)
- Magazine Pouch (If carrying firearm)
- Handcuffs w/ handcuff case and key (If you have a permit)
- Level 2 (rotating hood or thumb release] weapon holster
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- BSIS GUARD CARD
- BSIS FIREARM PERMIT
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Baton PERMIT is a PLUS
- Pepper Spray PERMIT is a PLUS
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Drug-Free
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Must have reliable means of communication and reliable means of transportation
- Adhere to professional grooming standards
- Have a clean criminal background
- Professional attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Security, military, or law enforcement background is preferred.
