Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Tree Climbers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for climbing, pruning, trimming, and removing trees safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, limb rigging, and tree removal using climbing techniques and safety equipment
- Assess tree conditions and determine the safest and most effective way to manage the task
- Operate chainsaws, hand tools, and other necessary equipment
- Work order and verbiage comprehension
- Basic communication skills, preferably bi-lingual to execute the job seamlessly.
- Safely rope down limbs and branches to avoid property damage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
- Adhere to safety standards and company guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- Experience as a tree climber or arborist (2 years)
- Proficiency in tree climbing techniques and safe operation of equipment
- Knowledge of tree health, diseases, and proper pruning techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Arborist certification (ISA) is a plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
