Agawam East Rehab & Nursing is seeking an experienced Medicaid Specialist to fill a full-time position. You will determine whether a person is eligible for enrollment in the Medicaid program.
As a Medicaid Specialist, your job duties include reviewing each applicant's application to confirm that the financial statements and other personal information are accurate. You will interview the applicants and family members when necessary, and document all your findings that lead to approval or denial of the application. You will be responsible for sending private bills and collection of monies due, overseeing monthly aging reports, executing admissions agreements with residents, coordinating insurance authorizations and appeals and ensuring the accurate maintenance of medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Don't forget...
- 1 years' experience in Medicaid process preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Manage Care reimbursement preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
