As the Manager (Sr.) of Internal Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we globally communicate our purpose, core values, and strategic priorities to employees across the organization, ensuring that team members feel informed, inspired, and aligned with our direction. You will be responsible for driving regional communications at our Copenhagen site and supporting other EU and JPN sites as needed.

You will be part of a collaborative and ambitious Internal Communications team that is led by two regional managers (yourself included), one responsible for US communications and you for EU and JPN. You will work closely with the team to ensure alignment and work on global communications projects such as our global town hall and strategic and executive communications.

You will be located at our Copenhagen Site in Søborg, and you will report to the VP of People and Culture EU.


This Manager (Sr.) of Internal Communications is responsible for developing and executing tactical and strategic communication initiatives that drive site, regional, or global employee engagement, organizational alignment, and cultural impact across the company. You will help shape compelling narratives, advise on change communication, and create innovative communication strategies that bring AGC Biologics’ purpose, vision, and core values to life. 

You will be a part of the People & Culture team in Copenhagen and an integral part of the local team. You will also work with the larger P&C team in Europe and Japan, and your US counterpart. 

You will lead our CPH, EU, and JPN communication efforts and team. The team is currently consisting of 2 students. 

You will report to the VP, People & Culture in Copenhagen. 

Main Responsibilities 

Leadership communication 

  • Plan, tailor, and execute the site and regional internal communication strategy that supports local and regional objectives. 

  • Partner with senior leaders to shape and amplify relevant communications, including change and organizational communication. 

  • Provide strategic counsel to leaders on effective messaging and employee engagement. 

  • Drive the CPH site communication, including local town halls, and Line Leaders Forum, and support our General Manager with general site communication.  

Communication Projects and Development 

  • Responsible for the direction and development of internal communications in the EU and JPN 

  • Develop content for relevant channels, including SharePoint, Actimo, and Executive Insights 

  • Manage the internal communications calendar to ensure timely and consistent messaging. 

  • Oversee internal communication channels (intranet, email campaigns, digital signage, Actimo, etc.). 

  • Implement new and innovative approaches to enhance communication effectiveness and accessibility. 

  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement based on data-driven insights and channel effectiveness. 

  • Liaise and align with the Global Marketing team on site-specific communication requirements (press requests and other external opportunities, etc.) within your region. 

 

Global communication support  

  • Steward AGC Biologics’ culture and core values through impactful internal campaigns and communication support 

  • Support employer branding communication in CPH, EU, and JPN 

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to align employer branding efforts and support recruitment marketing in CPH, EU, and JPN. 

  • Develop content on LinkedIn and other relevant channels to improve brand recognition. 

  • Support global Town Hall meetings in the region, including content development, logistics, and facilitation. 
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Proven leadership experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related fields is preferred. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and ability to advise and influence executives and leaders. 

  • A collaborative team player with excellent storytelling, writing, and content development skills. 

  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently deliver messages to leaders and employee audiences. 

  • A natural connector and doer who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.  

  • Agile, resilient, and adaptable, enabling you to prioritize any urgent tasks and sometimes develop content on the spot. 

  • Knowledge of digital workplace tools (SharePoint, Actimo, HubSpot, or similar platforms) is a plus. 

Education & Experience: 

  • Experience working in a global or multi-site organization is preferred. 

  • Master’s or bachelors degree in communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, or related areas. 

  • Experience in life sciences, biotech, or highly regulated industries is a plus, but not required. 

  • Leadership experience is a plus but not required.
