Who We Are

AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.

What We Offer

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• This position is required to be on-site for the first 90 days of employment for training purposes. After training is completed, this position is hybrid/remote optional.
• This position will be required to occasionally come on-site for company events or as needed by the business.
• $24.50 - $30.00 hourly

About The Role

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising or relevant field
• 4 years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
• 10 years’ experience in customer service and/or sales support
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Passion for interacting with others
• Adept written and verbal communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with ERP system(s)
• Previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the organization's products or solutions/services.
• First level of supervision to the work group. Typically supervises one shift or one work group.
• Works with inside sales reps to develop contact and customer relationships.
• Experience in sales forecasting and planning support.
• Receives objectives from management with goals and process to meet goals outlined.
• Interacts with customers and company sales and/or service representatives to handle a variety of functions.
• May answer non-technical questions regarding company products.
• Determines the status of returns, repairs, replacements, orders, delivery schedules, etc.
• Maintains records of returns, schedule changes, product enhancements or changes, and product pricing and resolves return credit problems. May take orders by telephone and by correspondence from customers and representatives; quotes prices and delivery dates.
• Enters new orders, expedites and tracks orders, provides telephone support, monitors contract commitments, and processes returns.
• Maintains customer files and tracks order status.
• Reviews orders for correct price, part number, and quantity.
• Regularly produces or assists with production of sales reports.
• Supports sales personnel in all aspects of sales administration and inside sales.
• Coordinates with sales management and operations.
• Assists with preparation of proposals, price quotations, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
• Serves as the first point of contact for clients and responds to general questions pertaining to sales and contract administration.
