About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our team at AGC Heat Transfer, Inc. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of employees across multiple facilities in Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety and health, with experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them. You will also provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You Will Do
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them
Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety procedures
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Work closely with facility leaders to ensure corrective actions are prioritized and completed
Coordinate with the Alfa Laval Environmental Health and Safety Team US to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university required; Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree preferred
~5 years' experience in an employee Health and Safety role required
Manufacturing experience with multi-state locations and remote personnel preferred
Knowledgeable in safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, OSHA regulations, Workers Compensation Law, and other regulatory requirements
Proven experience in delivering safety training and related topics
Strong administrative and people management skills, including team building and leadership
Strong organizational planning, project management, negotiation, communication, collaboration, and leading through influence skills
Proficient in administrative tasks and people management, with a focus on team building and leadership
Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and reporting tools
