AgCall Inc. has an exciting opportunity for agricultural professionals to complete consulting and market development activities during the 2025 growing season. This is a contract project in the biological crop protection industry beginning in March and ending in October 2025.
Associates are responsible for managing the grower throughout the season while they conduct a trial of the biological herbicide product. The associate will collect key observations from the grower, and discuss product performance, documented via video interviews, written summaries and field photos. The consultant will collect insights throughout the growing season and educate the grower about incorporating the test product into their weed management program. Associate should be experienced with a broad range of crops, particularly in the horticulture segment. Communication with growers will be of the utmost importance to ensure presence during key field activities. Associates will work with assigned growers and may recruit growers to host trials within their territory.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with organic crops and regenerative cotton to ensure product is applied according to protocol and detailed agronomic observations are documented
- Experience with horticultural products preferred
- Must be available for day travel to make on-farm visits from approximately April through October 2025, conducting up to 6 site visits during the growing season.
- Must be willing to manage up to 3 growers for a total of 6 trials within approximately a 150-mile radius
- Strong sales and/or agronomy background. Understanding of weed management practices required
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, calling on growers 6-7 times through the season
- Must be able to operate camera to record high-quality grower interview videos and photos of trial field
- Ready access to a computer, email, and smartphone and familiarity with agronomic smartphone apps
- May be active or retired growers, retailers, crop/seed salesmen, agronomists or other ag professionals
- May be required to recruit growers for trial program
- Must have reliable transportation to ensure presence at scheduled field visits
