AgCall Inc. has an exciting opportunity for agricultural professionals in select geographies in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho to complete field trial data gathering activities during the 2025 growing season. This is a contract project in the crop nutrition industry beginning in March and ending in November 2025. Associates will ensure product is applied according to protocol and collect data points at key growth stages during the season. Associates will be responsible for recruiting 2 to 3 growers within their territory to host the trials. Communication with growers will be of the utmost importance to ensure presence during key field activities.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with tomato and strawberry production to ensure product is applied according to trial protocol, quality evaluations are made accurately, and data is collected accurately at application and harvest. Multiple application and harvest visits may be required
- Product will be applied in fertigation application through drip irrigation
- Must be available for day travel to make on-farm visits from approximately February 15 through Harvest, 2025, conducting up to 8 site visits at specific points during the growing season (application visit, in-season analysis, and harvest). Evening and/or weekend visits may be required depending on grower’s application and harvest schedule
- Maintain contact with each grower, calling 3 to 4 times during the season to introduce trial and objectives, collect information and schedule field activities
- Must be willing to manage 2 to 4 trials within approximately a 150-mile radius
- Strong production ag and agronomy background, and understanding of trial protocol management
- Must be able to complete soil samples, quality scoring and other agronomic assessments as required by protocol
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Ready access to a computer, email, and smartphone and familiarity with agronomic smartphone apps
- May be active or retired growers, retailers, crop/seed salesmen, agronomists or other ag professionals
- Must be comfortable meeting with farmers and growers
- Must have reliable transportation to ensure presence at application, and harvest
Training:
A one-day training session will be held in early February via video conference with the client to introduce trial protocol, product information, objectives and expectations. Attendance is required.
Associates will report directly to AgCall and will also receive training on the data collection and submission procedures that are required for payment. We provide a very competitive wage with bonus structure for all projects. Associates earn an hourly base rate, bonuses and mileage and expense reimbursement.
