The North America team is seeking a talented, passionate, and highly motivated Sr. Software Application Developer to join our IT team based in Assumption, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with relational databases. As a Sr. Software Application Developer, you will design, develop, test and maintain various legacy, portal products, and/or SAP interfaces. Successful applicants must demonstrate proven knowledge with Visual Studio, Visual Basic.Net, C# and SQL Server database. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the full lifecycle development process and will be able to work in a self-directed environment.
Your Impact
- Transfer client requirements into application designs by developing and/or modifying distributed applications (both client/server and portal applications)
- Conduct design and integration test walk-thru reviews with end-user subject matter experts
- Create technical specifications, design documents as well as test plans
- Design, develop, test and maintain key areas of various SAP and legacy solutions
- Participate and lead code and design reviews
- Work within our internal software processes including generation and maintenance of software change requests, and attendance in regular project and team meetings. This includes communication of exact status of features that are under design, development or testing.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparative degree or at least seven years industry experience developing with Visual Studio including Visual Basic.Net and C#.
- Experience with object-oriented development concepts
- Experience with database design and development, preferably in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding of n-tiered architectures and object-oriented design and development concepts
- Ability to quickly grasp and master new technologies
