The purpose of Business Systems is to enable, enhance and support all Commission functions with the delivery of best practice services, to support our organisational goal to become a world class aged care regulator.
We define, develop, enhance, and support business systems to enable effective and efficient regulation of aged care services across all Commission functions.
Our Vision is to improve efficiency, reduce risk and transform the user experience.
About the Role
The Pega System Architect is responsible for building and maintaining Pega applications, focusing on technical implementation and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
Position Duties
Build and maintain Pega applications according to specifications
Create and modify workflows, data models, and user interfaces
Configure decision tables, trees, and other rule types
Design and execute test cases to validate functionality
Troubleshoot technical issues and implement fixes
Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing
Document technical designs and implementation approaches
Work closely with Business Architects to understand requirements
Implement integrations with other systems.
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
Key Capabilities
Experience in an Agile environment
Knowledge of case management and decision management
Understanding of integration approaches
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
The ability to translate requirements into technical solutions
Testing and debugging skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate openly and effectively and to build strong professional relationships with staff, stakeholders and clients at all levels and across boundaries together with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
Clear written and oral communication skills. The ability to influence effectively and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds.
Current, or eligibility for, Baseline Security Clearance through AGSVA – Must be an Australian Citizen
Desirables:
Pega Certified System Architect (CSA)
Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Background in software development or technical implementation
Experience with multiple Pega projects or implementations
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Experience working in the government/public sector.
Understanding of the Commission’s role as an end-to-end regulator.
Position eligibility
In addition to the above key capabilities and mandatory qualification, to be eligible for this position you must:
be an Australian citizen.
satisfy a National Coordinated Criminal History Check.
satisfy pre-existing medical condition declaration.
required to provide evidence of seasonal influenza and COVID 19 vaccinations.
Ability to undertake local and interstate travel when required.
Position Notes:
Salary offered will be between $96,503.00 - $108,869.00 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
