AGEISS is looking for a Database Developer to support Microsoft Access and SharePoint databases onsite at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and manage Microsoft Access databases for various projects, including both existing and new databases.
- Implement best practices for database optimization, data integrity, and security.
- Create and maintain efficient queries, forms, and reports to support end-user needs and ensure seamless functionality.
- Develop workflows, scripts, and automation processes for efficient data processing and reporting.
- Ensure all databases are well-documented, properly commented, optimized, and compliant with organizational policies.
- Design and develop SharePoint pages that are user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for collaboration and information sharing.
- Maintain and update SharePoint content to reflect current data and organizational needs.
- Implement workflows and customizations within SharePoint to enhance productivity and user experience.
- Work with team members to understand automation needs and implement scripts to streamline data-related processes.
- Ensure all scripts are well-documented, properly commented, optimized, and compliant with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, discuss design specifications, and ensure databases and SharePoint pages meet organizational needs.
- Provide training, support, and troubleshooting for end-users of Microsoft Access databases and SharePoint.
- Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
- Occasional travel within San Antonio will be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design, development, and management using Microsoft Access or 3 years if awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Current DoD 8140 certification (CompTia Security , CompTia Cloud , ISC2 SSCP, GIAC Security Essentials, or higher).
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) – Access Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administration or MCSA, Python Institute’s PCEP or PCAP
- Proficiency in SQL with strong query optimization skills.
- Demonstrated experience in SharePoint page design, customization, and maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of Visual Basic, Python, and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of data integrity, data security, and privacy principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), preferred.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools like Power BI, preferred.
- Experience in a Federal or Civil Engineering organization is a plus, preferred.
- Individuals already possessing an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) are preferred or the ability to successfully pass a federal agency background check is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current Secret security clearance is required.
