Executive Chef – Symphony Pointe, Elkhorn, NE

Are you a creative and hands-on culinary leader with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences? Symphony Pointe in Elkhorn, NE, part of Agemark Senior Living Communities , we are on Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Aging Services, is seeking an Executive Chef to take our dining services to the next level.

As an Executive Chef at Symphony Pointe, you’ll lead the entire culinary operation, blending innovative menu development with high standards of kitchen management to create exceptional experiences for our residents and guests. Your entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to quality will drive the success of our dining services, while your leadership will inspire and develop a dedicated kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and execute all culinary operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and food safety.
  • Design seasonal, diverse menus that cater to residents' dietary needs, bringing creativity and variety to every meal.
  • Collaborate on special events, banquets, and theme dinners, ensuring all culinary aspects exceed expectations.
  • Manage food inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to meet budget guidelines without compromising excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to health, sanitation, and safety standards, fostering a clean and safe working environment.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, creating a cohesive and motivated team.
  • Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient labor and food costs.
  • Actively participate in the community, promoting the dining program and engaging with residents to enhance their experience.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably in hospitality or senior living environments.
  • Proven track record in managing kitchen operations, including menu creation, food ordering, and cost control.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire your team to achieve high performance.
  • Excellent understanding of dietary needs and nutrition, including allergen awareness and special diet accommodations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with kitchen management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A passion for working in a senior living environment, enhancing the lives of our residents through your culinary expertise.
