Full-Time Maintenance Worker Position Details
- Oversee all building & maintenance so previous knowledge of regulations regarding building codes, hazardous materials, OSHA, MSDS sheets, and fire and safety procedures is needed. Respond promptly to requests for maintenance service; document work completed if required.
- Report all maintenance concerns to the Director and make recommendations when repairs, equipment replacement, or system upgrades are needed.
- Operate within monthly budget and make special purchases with approval.
- Help set annual goals and assess quarterly. Recognize areas of improvement and determine the best and most effective fix.
- Store chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment cleanly and safely.
- Upon turnover, return vacated suites to rentable condition; work with the Director and Family Service Coordinator to assess cleaning, repair, and improvements needed.
- Follow procedures to record and file information about furniture, fixtures, equipment, inventory, keys, storage units, certificates, inspections, etc.
- Take part in regularly scheduled safety inspections. Respond to medical, fire, and other emergencies as required.
- Assist contractors and perform their own repairs regarding regular maintenance such as plumbing, electric, boilers, HVAC, and emergency systems, laying carpet, and painting as needed. Knowledge of tools, general building requirements, and codes.
- Help residents move in and out of the Community. This will include working weekends and being on call when needed.
- Follow safety regulations to clean or assist with cleaning accidents involving body waste, blood, or vomit.
- Coordinate or perform resident transportation as needed. Positively promote residence and company.
- Maintain confidentiality of information about residents, Community operations, and personnel.
- Take part in staff, resident, family, marketing, or Company activities and events as directed.
- Strong English communication skills are essential for seamless interaction with residents and colleagues.
