Formed as a Joint Powers Authority to serve Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties, AAA4 is a Public Agency with non-profit status. Funded by monies from the Older Americans Act (OAA) and various grants, AAA4 creates, supports, and monitors a wide variety of programs for older adults and people with disabilities designed to help them maintain their health and independence. In 2023 the Agency celebrated 50 years of delivering its mission of supportive service to its communities.
AAA4 shares responsibility for the delivery of the services of various Aging and Disability Resource Connections (ADRCs) and is committed to providing person-centered services and warm handoffs to those who reach out for assistance, embracing the No Wrong Door philosophy of client care.
INTAKE OMBUDSMAN I/II
Grade 12, Non-exempt
Under the general supervision of the Ombudsman Program Manager (OPM), the Intake Ombudsman I/II (IO I/II) triages concerns made by or on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities regarding their day-to-day care, health, safety, and personal preferences. The IO I/II enters the complaints into a secured database and routes them to the appropriate Regional Ombudsman or other agency for resolution. The IO I/II provides varied administrative and other support services to the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP). The IO II is additionally responsible for oversight of the Volunteer Ombudsman Program, assisting with the recruitment and training of volunteers and recordkeeping with support from the IO I. The IO II conducts assigned facility visits monthly throughout the seven-county service area.
