Job Summary
As a Clinic Assistant at AgeWell PACE, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our clinic and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our program participants. You will provide administrative assistance, perform basic clinical tasks, and maintain a welcoming and organized environment for both participants and staff. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of administrative, clerical, and patient care tasks to facilitate the smooth functioning of the clinic.
Position Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in program participants, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere in the health center.
- Assist with the completion of intake forms, ensuring accurate participant information.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with participants, caregivers and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, stocking supplies, and maintaining equipment functionality.
- Manage inventory of health center supplies and order necessary items in a timely manner.
- Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Escort participants to examination rooms and assist with positioning as well as gathering necessary medical history and information.
- Assist healthcare professionals during medical procedures, as directed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and hazard-free health center environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide participant support and contribute to the overall success of the health center.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience & Education
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with active California License
- Exercise sound judgement and exhibit strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented, with strong multi-tasking skills
- Proficient with software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in a health center (clinic) setting preferred.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.

- Physical demands: Health Center Assistant must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. The Clinic Assistant will also be actively present throughout the PACE health center, engaged with team members and participants. The Health Center Assistant is required to use hands and fingers, especially for typing on the computer and using the mouse. The Health Center Assistant must be able to talk and hear, particularly for daily interactions with team members and elderly participants.
- Work Environment: The Health Center Assistant must be able to work in a busy and demanding health center environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
