Position Summary :
The Convenience Store Shift Leader will help run the store by operating the cash register and assisting customers to get them back on the road quickly; optimizing the cooperative’s market share and savings; improving the cooperative’s efficiency; helping achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals; and resulting in outstanding customer service. At times, the Shift Lead is expected to provide full leadership over the store.
Essential Functions :
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Agfinity service traits.
- Occasionally used to cover shifts both call outs and vacation coverage at other Agfinity C Store locations within a 25-mile radios.
- Provides full leadership over the store, driving engagement, customer service, and operational efficiency.
- Opening and closing the store in the absence of store management, including all required startups and shutdowns, required cash handling, and ensuring the sales floor and stock are ready for the business day.
- Being responsible and accountable for all related sales on assigned cash registers.
- Assisting store management in evaluating and developing store displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise. Completing resets and revisions.
- Maintaining accurate inventory counts.
- Assisting with ensuring the outdate program is followed by all team members.
- Assisting with basic department pricing and completing daily price changes, ensuring proper signage is displayed throughout the store to support accurate pricing of products and services.
- Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance, including requesting store or system repairs as required in manager absence or as requested by store management.
- Performing all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The physical demands described here are represented of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. Must be able to stand for 4 hours at a time. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste, and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift 40 regularly and 50 occasionally. A portion of the work time is outdoors where temperatures can be extreme.
This position does require a pre-hire, post-offer criminal background check, and a drug screen.
