Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring optimal operation of machinery and facility systems. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime and supporting production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Perform maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS or logbook.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with production staff and other departments to resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and recommend equipment or process upgrades.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
