PARALEGAL
A plaintiff-side employment law firm, is searching for a Paralegal to join their team. This is a full-time, in-office position based in their office in El Segundo. The litigation practice consists of wage and hour class actions and individual employment law matters. Applicants should have experience working in a law firm, and / or have a paralegal certificate. Class action experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is fully bilingual / fluent in both Spanish and English and possess 2-5 years of paralegal experience.
Experience in employment law / wage and hour and/or civil litigation preferred. The Paralegal will provide critical support to a team of attorneys, draft, file and serve legal documents for both state and federal court, calendar deadlines, schedule court appearances and court reporters for depositions and hearings, prepare hearing binders, maintain client and case files, and assist with various stages of case management.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, self-motivated, adaptable, committed to learning, and deadline and detail oriented. They should possess a positive attitude, commit to a high standard of ethical and professional conduct, and be able to operate well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time / in-office Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• General Case Management, including filing and serving of initial complaints
• Filing and serving documents for both federal and state courts
• Scheduling appearances/remote appearances and court reporters for depositions and hearings
• Calendaring
• Conducting legal research and data analysis as needed
• Answering phones and addressing client inquiries; serving as interpreter as needed
• Providing routine case updates to clients
• Maintaining and organizing client and case files
Qualifications:
• Fully bilingual Spanish
• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience as paralegal required
• Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program preferred
• Employment law / wage & hour experience preferred
