**Job Title:** Experienced Litigation Paralegal
We are a national law firm specializing in subrogation and recovery for the worldwide insurance and self-insured markets.
The role of the Paralegal will be to assist attorneys with various tasks, including:
* Legal document preparation
* Preparation of damage summaries
* Communication with clients and other professionals
* Legal research
* Document review
We require a candidate with minimum 6 years litigation experience, strong knowledge of California law and legal document preparation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
In addition, experience with legal databases and discovery software is highly desirable.
A significant proportion of our cases are in a pre-litigation stage, but understanding of California law and knowledge of what needs to be done once a case goes into litigation are crucial aspects of this role.
The successful candidate will have expertise in the following areas:
* Document review, including claim files, independent adjuster reports, and insured's documents
* Preparation and review of damage summaries
* Requesting documents related to damage summaries
* Litigation tasks, such as responding and propounding discovery, trial prep, and drafting documents and deposition summaries
