What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Aggie Animal Clinic?
Description : Aggie Animal Clinic (AAC) is looking to expand its team of veterinarians. The clinic is newly remodeled and has expanded in size allowing us to add another veterinarian to our amazing team. Currently, we have 4 veterinarians ofnstaff and are looking for a full or part time veterinarian to join our team. We are a privately owned veterinary clinic in the small town of Dixon, CA in the Sacramento Valley just a couple miles west of Davis.
We believe in practicing high quality medicine that leads to healthy, long lives for our patients. At AAC we spend time with our patients and clients in 30 minute appointments to ensure all their needs are met. We have in-clinic diagnostic capabilities for CBC, Chem panels, coagulation parameters, SNAP tests, urinalysis, an incubator for cultures, digital radiology, ultrasound and more! We perform a wide range of surgeries and typically only refer the most technically complicated surgeries. AAC has digital dental radiology and we do complex dental procedures with extractions daily. We manage most of our cases in clinic giving our veterinarians the opportunity to actually practice medicine. However, we are close to referral hospitals in the Bay Area, Davis, and Sacramento for those difficult cases.
At Aggie Animal Clinic we do not believe medical recommendations should be the basis of our wages. We do NOT pay based on production; we pay salaried wages. You can be guaranteed a healthy work- life balance knowing your income will be the same whether you are seeing appointments, performing surgeries, working a shorter day on a Saturday or are on vacation. Our doctors appreciate this life style and the 4 doctors at Aggie have been working here for many years ranging from 5 – 25 years! We work together on cases and are constantly drawing on each other's knowledge and experience to ensure the best case management. We pride ourselves on mentorship of new team members regardless of your experience level. At AAC you will never feel like you are working alone.
