Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced food manufacturing Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and facilities management, ensuring that all systems function efficiently and safely. This role requires excellent leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of facility maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems within the facility.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
- Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate facility-related projects and improvements.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ensure that low voltage systems are maintained in accordance with industry standards.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in logic controllers is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical documentation related to facility systems.
- Experience using CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is a plus.
