Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and overall groundskeeping. The Groundskeeper will ensure that the grounds are well-kept, safe, and aesthetically pleasing for all visitors.
Duties
- Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Irrigate gardens and landscapes to promote healthy plant growth.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping features.
- Monitor the health of plants and report any issues such as pests or diseases.
- Assist in planting new trees, flowers, and shrubs as needed.
- Ensure that all groundskeeping equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Keep pathways, parking lots, and outdoor areas clean and free from debris.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger landscaping projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of proper lawn care techniques including fertilization and pest control.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- A valid driver's license may be required for operating company vehicles or equipment.
