Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and functionality in both commercial and residential environments.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are in excellent condition.
- Carry out industrial cleaning duties, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities, including restroom maintenance and waste disposal.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Engage in porter duties as required, ensuring common areas are tidy and presentable.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of the facilities.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and custodial responsibilities.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
